Still cannot download new WD !

I have XP and IE7 and since the new version of WD was released I have been
trying to download it, but it just won't download!
I have a genuine cersion of XP (that was the first thing I checked out!) but
when the download box comes up it either stays blank or gives me the option
to save/run. When I choose save or run (I have tried both) nothing happens
..... nothing donloads..... the progress bar does not move or anything!

Please help. I have had to uninstall the old WD now and I would really like
the new version!

When I click on it all I get is a blank box and it stays like that until I
shutdown. The progress bar seems frozen at the half-way point.

Any other ideas?

Assuming your system is clean of any malwares (viruses in particular),
you may need to do repair install of the OS. Read this article:
