StickyKeys feature doesn't work

I have Compaq PC running Windows XP. I like to have the a tone sound
when I press the caps lock key, so I always have that particular
StickyKeys feature activated. But a few weeks ago this feature
suddenly stopped working. I've tried disabling and reenabling with no
effect. I get sound from other applications normally. Also, back when
this worked, the sound came out of my main speakers, not from a
built-in speaker inside the computer. I'm not sure if that matters.

I've looked at Microsoft's knowledgebase for ways to fix this but I
couldn't find anything relevant. Does anyone have any ideas that I
could try?

Thanks.

are you really that much of a ****wit to have a tone to tell you what you
are doing?

get a new brain, but short of that box up the system and send it back as
obviously you are incapable of using the grey matter between your ears.

OOOPS! my bad! you must have your head up your arse so that must explain
the lack of oxygen.

either way, **** off.
