Stereo speaker setting in XP

I have a 2.1 desktop speaker set.
The woofer and the left speaker are working, but I can't get the right
speaker to work.
I thought that it was a hardware issue until I connected them to another
machine and, bingo, they all work.
Is there a setting in windows that says "stereo" or something???
Sound Card is NVIDIA nforce APU, and I have tried everysetting in the
drivers but with no joy
Any help would be appreciated

Control Panel> Sounds and Audio Devices> Volume> Speaker Settings> Advanced
