Hi, i am using stephen lebans pdf convertor (thanks very much stephen) and it
works great no probs with the pdf convertor.

however i seem to have an issue with my database and hope someone can help.

i have 2 reports which are converting to pdf, one works fine no probs and
generates one report as per the filter

the second, however generates 10 reports exactly the same within the same
pdf, using exactly the same filter criteria. now with this report i do have
sub reports and wonder if this is the issue whereas the first has no sub
reports. do i need to set the filter criteria on each of the sub reports?

your help is appreciated regards richard

There is a good chance that you do not have the link field in the
subreports. Open the Report in Print Preview and see if you have multiple
pages.

hi arvin,

i do have multiple pages in the pdf preview, i get 10 of each of the 4 pages
inthe report all exactly the same. i will try putting the link field
(caseref) into the sub reports and see if that corrects the error. i did try
to put a filter into the on open event of each sub report but access didnt
like that. ill let you know how i get on.

thanks for your help.. richard

hi arvin,

i tried putting the case ref on each of the sub reports (there are 4) but
this seems to increase the number of times the report was generated.

the case ref was already in the query the sub reports were based on, but
just not on the rpt itself.

any further ideas would be appreciated. thanks richard

hi arvin,

i soon noticed that it wasnt the pdf but the report, so did try it in report
preview.

my crude method seems to be working but would welcome a suggestion to
correct the issue i am having,as it now appears that multiplepages were
generated because the quesry created 5 records for the client. thanks richard
