Hi Kevin,
You are misinterpreting their usefulness. They are not sent for Microsoft to
work on your specific problem. They are sent so that a database is created
to gather information on the most frequent or common problems, and on
problems in general. This is what triggers which fixes take priority. There
are thousands sent every day, no one is working on them individually.
If your error report happens to match a previously resolved issue, upon
sending it you will be prompted that there is more information for you in
regards to the report you just submitted with an option to view it.
Otherwise, you are just adding to the error database. I would encourage you
to continue to do so, as this database helps determine what problems users
are having. It is also useful in helping to determine if an update or newly
released program is causing massive issues. All this so that they can be
prioritized and addressed.
