Status Bar | Filter Mode | xx of xxx records found

Excel 2003

I have one spreadsheet that I created that does not show the record
count; it immediately displays 'Filter Mode', but never the count.

It's only this one spreadsheet, other spreadsheets display the record
count.

How can I get the record count to display in this spreadsheet?
