statup programs

How do i add to the list of programs windows runs on startup without using
"sheduled tasks" in control panel. i.e i want it to appear under "startup" in
the "system configuration utility"

I'm not sure what you're talking about in that last sentence, but if you
want an app to run each time Windows is started up, you can simply add a
registry entry under the following key:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Thanks SB. The only problem now, is i don't have any experience with
registry keys. I know i have to create a .reg file and add the contents to
windows registry. But i don't know the synax. Could you please give me a
small sample. Thanks
