Stationary.

You all must be tired of this Stationary thing but at times it is nice to
have. I do have background and display settings that are set to colors font
etc..Is it possible that this is the reason the Vista Stationary fails to
apply? It doesnt matter what I do nothing changes. I have downloaded from
the thundercloud site and it showed it installed ..it did not.I found the
folder and still could not install it. I could open it but that is no help.
By the way all I wanted was stationary not music ! I got rid of that whole
mess. The stationary that came with the Vista Windows Mail is not responding,
nor does it "preview" Nor can I change font color in a new message. Do you
think that there is something that I have done in the "personalize" area?

Yes we are and no it's not nice to have. Write meaningful emails and you
won't need the fluff of stationary.

Catherine, I, too, tried downloading and installing stationery from Cloudeight, only to find it wasn't in the directory and therefore wouldn't work. After doing some investigation, the default installation directory for the stationery isn't the place you want to install the stationery. I think this is a problem on Cloudeight's part and not on the part of Vista users. While the routine is the same for Outlook Express, as they say, the directory to install to isn't.

Try composing a message with stationery and follow the directory back to where the pre-installed stationery is and you'll find the directory you need to install to.

Good luck.

Hi Brink,Hi Shawn! I will give what you suggested a try . When I make this
type of switch over to one or the other mail systems will I then loose
everything such as the "message rules "/and 'address book? Vista has been a
challenge and this really is just something that I feel should work
regardless of it's relevance. There was a point where the installed stationary
did work..the problems began after I introduced the changes I made regarding
the display settings, Some of these were set under "classic settings" I hate
to blow this thing again...Vista is not user freindly in many ways..It has
some great points but after XP for so many years this is a bit tuff. Thank
you for taking your time with all of us .

Catherine, do your email recipients a favor and drop the stationary. Those
on dial-up must really love you.
