I connect to my office using a VPN which assisgns me a
dynamic IP address via DHCP. Because I have other
services running it is important that I night not
configure the VPN connection to "Use Default Gateway on
Remote Connection" but now that our VPN is terminated on
a server outside of our Firewall, I need to configure a
static route.
The ROUTE command requires me to specify the Gateway
address which of course varies with each connection thus
preventing me from establishing a persistant route and
requiring me to use IPCONFIG to determine my IP address
prior to setting up the route.
Any suggestions for simplifying or automating this?
