When i turn my computer on it gets to the windows xp professionalloading
screen and then resets itself. It wont start up in safe mode or last known
good configuration. i cant seem to get it to work at all. please help. my
computer is on a network if that helps.
 
Hey Chip

Get your machine off the network, and disconnect any new
hardware you may have installed.

Boot off your Windows CDROM and enter recovery console.

try to use the Fixmbr or Fixboot utilities (just
type: "fixboot" or "fixmbr")

Alternatively you may want to consider a parallell
installation: you boot off the CD get to the part where
the installation asks you what you want to do with the
file system, and choose the Leave File system intact
option (no format).
