Run MSCONFIG.
(START -> RUN -> msconfig)
Uncheck the ones you do not want starting under the Startup tab.

Once you establish it is safe to do so, you can google search for the
Registry Key you will need to change to make it permanent.

Open the program and look through the menus for its preferences or options.
There you should be able to select whether or not the program starts with
Windows.

Also look in the Startup folder of your Start menu. Remove the shortcuts to
any programs you don't wish to start with Windows.

If neither of those steps work, your choices are to edit the registry -
which carries its own risks, and may not work anyway - or uninstalling the
program.

go to /start/programs/statup

or if you have multiple users, it would be under the
C:/documents and settings/all users/start
menu/programs/startup
