Hi
My WindowsXPHome had a hissy fit last night. Would only
start in safe mode. Start Windows Normally refused to
boot up and endlessly recycled back to the same option
screen. Eventually manged to get it to work (no idea
how!) but now I get the following dialog box

rundll32c:\progra~1\newdot~1\newdot1.dll,newdotnetstartup
Error loading specified file cannot be found

follwed by another dialog box
Error 10106

Norton Internet Security and AV settings have ben trashed
as well. What's happened? XP is new territory for me.
Help! TIA

Hi Anthony,

Control Panel/Add & Remove, uninstall newdotnet. See this link for full
removal steps:

http://www.newdotnet.com/#remove

It is an add-on program that you likely installed as a bundled part of some
other freeware/shareware you downloaded. Afterwards, you may need to
reinstall NIS.
