startup programs not loading

Since I downloaded and installed the last batch of MS patches, No
program I've installed after that will load on startup. They will not
show up in my system tray or in Msconfig. These are programs I want to
start up. Anyone else having this problem?

No help, except, I have dl'd all the updates....no probs here.

Shortcuts in the Startup folders do not run at Windows startup
