Between the Windows (XP) startup screen and the list of accounts screen that
follows, I am experiencing a light blue screen (blue is not as dark as the
BSOD). This screen displays an error msg:

XMNT 2002 program not found...skipping AUTOCHK

that was generated as a result of trying to execute a Partition Magic
function (nothing to do with BootMagic).

How do I remove Windows' attempt here, ie. remove/delete this message?

Tks!

Hi Wayne.
Their is a long thread about this along with a registry edit.
http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=439106&page=1

Even through they are talking about windows 2000 much is the same in XP.
to find out if this is your problem just follow the registry edit and see if
partion magic created the new key, no change is required for you to do this.
