startup problems with latitude L400

Bill

Hi,
I am having problems with a latitude L400 running windows
2000 where it doesn't startup properly (once out of every
three tries or so). At the time the music sounds, or
shortly thereafter, I get a large timer image and it just
stays that way. I can then do a standby or shutdown using
the power button, and restart sometimes okay. Any help
would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Hi Bill,

Thank you so much for the posting.

I hope you have tried every other allternate possibilities to resolve this
issue.

You might also tried with different .wav files. Is that also giving the
same problem?

Thier might be a possibility where you installed multiple .wav software
like winamp, real player or other.

These players sometime create problem when you playing such wav file.

So the recommendation first is to uninstalled all the third party software,
this way you can get good performance and proper memoery ussage for the
system.

If the problem still presist, I would recommended you to use your warranty
service with the local vendor from whom you bought this laptop, Or if you
can take
backup of your laptop and re-install the whole software that would
deffinatly resolve this issue.

I hope this way you can get back to what you want from your laptop.

Thanks and Regards
