StartUp = My Computer Opens + CD Recording Device Warning

I have Windows XP and the McAfee Security Suite. When we each log into our
preferences, the following items always pop up: "My Computer" folder opens,
and I get a warning about "CD Recording Device". I have gone into Start -
Run - Msconfig - StartUp and neither of these items appear. It takes almost
3 full
minutes for my system to boot up after I go into my own preferences.
Finally, I will get a McAfee Privacy Service Box open up to put in my
password to access the internet. How do I get a "bare bones" start up and
speed things up? My machine is old (400 mhz) but has an 80 gig harddrive and
256 SDRAM. Help!
Thanks!

Woo Hoo Ramesh!

I got rid of the CD Recording Software Pop Up! Thanks so, so much!

Any ideas on why at StartUp, after logging into McAfee, the "My Computer"
folder appears, with a nice little red flashlight, that is looking for
something, and after a few seconds the "My Computer" folder opens?

Thanks again!

Hi Ramesh!

I went through everything you gave me for information, downloaded both
"autoruns" and also "serviwin" utilities - no where was I able to find why
the "My Computer" folder opens, and why the system is searching for something
within it. Is there a way I can look for an "open up My Computer" command
that would not appear in the start up? I am baffled?!

Thanks!
