Startup icons (lower r/h area of task bar) dissappear when installing a scanner

MS Config offers no help, i.e. to delete start-up items.
Why would installing a scanner eliminate SOME of my icons
and not all. Is there a way to ORDER the starup programs
so the possible interference or conflict is eliminated?

Can u list what programs u want to delete on the start up
and what programs u want to eleminate on the startup.
There are many ways u can do that, if MSconfig does not
work, u can try regedit.
