Startup error on IE6

When I try to start IE6 I get error message Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime
Library
Runtime error
Preogram c:\....\iexplore.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
This error started after a Microsoft update was applied. I have since
re-installed IE6 but to no avail. What is error and how do I remedy it please?

Try uninstalling the Google Toolbar via Control Panel -> Add/Remove
Programs.
Then reinstall GT from Google site.
