Does anyone know if windows 2000 can be started by typing
a command or executing a file ? I am particularly
interested in staring windows 2000 from a floppy drive if
the boot drive of a dual boot system, windows 98(the boot
drive) and windows 2000 on a separate drive, is corrupted.

Just format a floppy from within Win2k

now just copy boot.ini ntdetect.com & ntldr to the floppy

if you set your bios to boot from floppy you can boot to win2k using it

it's that simple, believe it or not

note: it will not work with a floppy formatted from dos/win9x
