I have been having problems starting windows XP Home
edition. When I first boot up the system windows will
not load. It usually takes three to four tries before it
will come up. I have tried everything I can think of. I
took off all of my hardware one piece at a time to see if
it was a printer, cable modem or router or camera problem
but to no avail. Once I get it started it works fine. I
took everything off the startup but my norton. It sill
does the same thing. Any suggestions would be
appreciated. I am networking with my husbands computer
and he does not have any problems at all.

This is usually caused by a power supply that is failing. There isn't
enough juice to get the hard drive spinning as fast as it needs to, but
after a few reboots momentum takes over. Solved by replacing the power
supply.
