Oh hell can someone help me !! After updating my system
with the recommended updates my start up now has changed
where I have to select a user. I am the only user and I
would like my computer to return to the original start up
where I do not need to select a user

Start, run, type in: control userpasswords2, hit enter.

Uncheck: users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

Xp will then ask you to enter the user and password you want to auto-logon
to.
