start up

i just recently upgraded to xp home and one of my previous programs keeps
automatically opening when i start up. how do i keep it from doing that?

First thing, look in THAT program's configuration/set up. Check
documentation. There may be a "start up" option that you can disable.

That lacking, click START|RUN and type "msconfig" (no quotes) <enter>
Click the STARTUP tab
If the unwanted application is listed, UNcheck it.
