How do I get my PC to come up with the Number-Lock key

Here is a small script that will allow you do set it the way you want. It
simply changes a setting in the registry; it is in the second column on line
four of this page:

The way I did it was to turn it on then restart the computer. It saves the
settings in the reg and will be on when the computer restarts.

Depending on your motherboard, you may have an option in

your bios settings that will enable this feature (press
DEL key during boot)

I think I read that XP overrides the bios setting, though I'm not positive.
The previous suggestion Bob posted does seem to work though; I'll have to
remember that

The bios is overridden by XP (and 2000). Either use the fix shown by Jason
Stevens or use the fix shown on Microsoft's knowledge base at this link.
