How do i stop lots of boxes from software that i have purchased coming up
when the computer has started and booted-up windows xp media center edition?
Eg boxes wanting me to log onto skype, kazaa etc etc?
Is trhere somewhere to stop start-up programmes running on start -up?
Many thanks for help

to disable programs from being loaded upon startup go to start
menu->run->msconfig then on the startup tab, deselect all the
unecessary programs that you may have loading. but be careful to only
deselect those programs that you do not want to run, and not all of the
start up items because some of the start up programs load drivers and
things of that nature that could cause the computer to not function at
100%

Uninstall skype, kazaa

Run the app in question. Tell it to NOT load up when Windows starts.
