I'm not sure if Windows Help is a separate program but if you type
'msconfig' into the Run box from Start and click the Startup tab you'll see
a list of your programs and the ones that are checked start at startup. I
uncheck most of them, use Selective Startup as a default (General tab), and
only get a few starting at startup and slowing it down. Somebody may say
that you don't need to use Selective Startup, but I find if I use Normal
Startup all the boxes get checked and it takes forever and the System Tray
weighs a ton. But I'm not sure whether this will work for Help.
