Please help! I turned on my computer the other day and for some reason, my
desktop had completely changed...based on the questions it was asking me, it
looked like this was the first time I used the computer. Some of the
applications asked me to register again (like Netscape, etc.).

It seems as though I'm loging on as a different user although I restarted
and loged in as me. All of my documents, which several were on the desktop,
are no longer there--although I can find them under documents and settings,
default, etc.

Any idea of how to correct the problem? Thanks for the help--I owe you one!

Hi,

Sounds like your profile was corrupted and WinXP is using an alternate or
default profile. You will need to create a new personal profile by logging
on as administrator, then copy your old user data to it.
