Hi there.
Sometimes when I start my computer up windows does not load, all that
happens is the fan runs and there is nothing on the monitor. After several
attempts at starting my computer it eventually loads.
It restarts ok but has the start up problem when I first turn it on in the
day.
I have pressed F8 durning start up and selected start my computer at the
last start up but still the computer has the problem the next time I start
it.

Any ideas please
TIA.

Andy, are u sure your power source is up to the job, how many appliances r u
running, what version of xp (if any) r u running? Try to give a little more
detail so we can help you. F8 will only boot into safe mode, may not affect
your general start-up.

Windows XP Home Edition.
Not a power problem as the monitor lights up and shows the makers logo.
When I eventually get windows started I can restart as many times as I like
with no problems. Then the next day starting from cold the computer won't
load again.
Tried this but it did not help (Reboot your computer while holding down the
F8 Key. At the Advanced Options Menu select Last Known Good Configuration).
I'm unable to make a start up disk as this computer has no Floppy drive.
Problem started out of the blue, I have not installed any new programs etc.
I have a linksys Wireless G router in line and my other computer works fine.
1024 Ram
3.6
Pentium® Processor

That's about all I can say I think.

Hi Andy, I have the same problem. Did you get any helpful information back.
