Start up problem

Every time i boot my system i keep getting an annoying
Icon appear on my desktop and under programs when i select
startup.This seams to be something that has been
downloaded and is a dial up icon/link.i delete it every
time but it keeps coming back on system boot up.How can i
delete it permanently please?

have you looked in the all users or default users desktop
and removed it from there if it's there?
