Start up -- Notepad

For some reason, my notepad has been popping up at start
up. How can I eliminate this?
 
Have you checked to see if a shortcut for Notepad is in either your own --
or the All Users -- startup?

Could it be that it was added to your start up folder?
Check it in the start-->programs
