Start-Up Error

David

When I start up XP I get the following error message:
Error Loading C:\Program Files\WildTangent\Apps\CDA\cda
Engine 0400.dll. I believe it's the result of something
one of my spyware programs deleted. I assume the start-up
routine is calling for some dll it can't find (but I'm
really not to knowledgeable about this stuff). Can anyone
help me to clean up this start-up error?

Thanks,
David

Go to Start>Run and type (without quotes) "msconfig" [Enter]. Look on
the Startup tab for the Wild Tangent app. Uncheck the box next to its
name, Apply and OK out. You don't need to restart just then but when
you do, you'll get a box saying you've used the System Configuration
Utility. Just check the box that says, "don't bother me about this
again". It is a good idea to limit the number of programs that start
unnecessarily with Windows. Here is a link where you can look up what
you find in msconfig:

this program has been uninstalled from the computer but the error message

"Don't Panic!"

Start | Run | Msconfig. On the startup tab check for any references to
that .dll and uncheck it. Or Start | Run | Regedit and search for that
..dll. Delete the referrence to it.
