start up error

When I start my laptop, it suddenly says :"System memory
has changed. 32 MB minimum required. Press F1 to shut
down" Sometimes it will go ahead and start, but only
after sitting unplugged and the battery uninstalled for at
least 15 minutes. Any one help with that one? Thanx!
 
Sounds like you have a hardware problem. Flakey BIOS, memory or
motherboard. Check with the laptop manufacturer for repair options.
