My friend, who also has a windows xp home edition cannot
start up his computer. He asked me if I can find out if
there is a way that I can somehow make him a startup disk
so that he can turn on his computer. Is this possible?
If so, how do I go about doing this? I really don't know
anything about computers, so I would need a step by step
guide about how to do this. I would appreciate any
feedback about this.

Thanks,
Eileen

the XP CD is bootable. When you switch on the machine there should be a key
to press for boot options.

Windows XP has no use for a "startup" disk. The XP CD-ROM is bootable for
reinstall or repairing Windows.

www.bootdisk.com for DOS bootup disk, even though it's not needed.
