Help!

i have recently upgraded to XP Home from 2000 and i
cannot get rid of 2000. i assumed it would be removed
upon XP reinstallation. now when i start up i get the
option of choosing XP or 2000!?
I also have the existing programs that were installed on
2000 still shown but when i go to use them they do not
work so i reinstall in XP. i am in a bit of a mess.

Thank you

I have the same problem but I have ME and did the same
thing. We need HELP!!!

In XP go to Control Panel, System, Advanced, Startup and Recovery, Settings.
In the System startup section, click the Edit button. This will load
BOOT.INI in Notepad. Remove the reference to the unused operating system.
If you're unsure of what you're deleting post the contents of your BOOT.INI
in a reply.
