Start/Program menu has gotten so large that not all
programs/shortcuts can be seen. If I switch to "Classic
View" every thing is fine. The fonts are smaller and
spacing tighther.

How do I tighten up things in the "regular view"?

Organize your Start menu better. Right-click on the Start button and
choose "Explore". Shorten the names of entries. You can also make new
folders and drag program entries to them. For instance, if you have a
lot of different graphics programs, you might make a folder called
"Graphics" and put all the relevant programs there. Etc. Think of it as
a filing cabinet which you can organize to your liking.
