Start menu - > My recent documents limit

Hello,

Please can anyone tell me if there is a way of increasing (or
decreasing) the number of items that are shown in Start -> My Recent
Documants?

done using gpedit.msc or can it just be done by changing the registry?

Yes, of course. If you have XP Professional you can set the policy "Maximum
number of recent documents" (User
Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Explorer).
