here is one that might be easily solved ..

Most everybody uses the start menu .. old style as classic or new style ..
BUT .. why did the team remove RUN ?
Any help ?

Run is still on the classic menu, and there is also a RUN gadget available
for the sidebar..

You can run right from the search box or right click the Start Orb, select
properties, start menu, customize, and add the Run box.

That's true. Note also much of the functionality of Run is available in the
search type-in line as soon as you click on Start. You can type full paths,
commands etc. It doesn't have absolutely every feature of Run, but is
sufficient that I now use it completely, and never drop back to the old Run.

You can also add Run back to the start menu or hold down the Winkey and type
R.
Many ways to Run in Vista.

Sorry. I see Jim already told you how you could add it back to the start
menu.
But Windows key + R is a not widely known alternative.

I find this potentially dangerous, at least to those in transit from XP. I
expected something droppped in there to be a search string so one day I typed
in msconfig and instead of getting references to Help on msconfig it started
msconfig itself.

I'm not going to try finding out more about Format!

you can add it to the start menu via the properties.

And... heh, heh... you can type "run" in the Start Search box and press the
Enter key and the Run dlg box will appear... jes' another way to get to the
Run dlg box.
