start menu doesn't have recently run programs listed anymore

I don't know what I did, but when I click on the Start button, I still have the box that pops up with "My documents, "My Computer", etc. on the right, but it no longer shows the recently used programs on the left. All it shows are IE, OE and Word at the top.

I can't offer much information since I don't know what I did to cause this to happen. Any help is appreciated

All i can surgest is that you right click on the tack bar and then go
thought the options in - start menu - customise !

Right click the Start Button/Properties/Customize/Advanced/Recent documents
(bottom) and place a check where it reads: List my most recently opened
documents. If this option is missing, run the edit on line 55:
