Start Menu doesn't boot after SP3 uninstall

I recently installed sp3 and was having problems with the print spooler that
I couldn't find any resolution for so I uninstalled sp3 and since then about
half the time when I boot up windowsXP, the start menu won't load or will
only partially load. I can force a shut down and get it to load after 1-2
tries. Is there something that I can look for here or do I need to do a
Repair Install?

Try doing a system restore to a date prior to the install of SP3.
