Is there any switch that will make IE6 start in a
maximized (full screen)window instead of a it's smaller
version ??

Russ,

Right-click Internet Explorer shortcut (quicklaunch?) and choose properties.
start "Maximized"

If you want New windows [Hyperlinks on Webpages] to open maximized:
1. Open a link.
2. Don't use the maximize button.
3. Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
4. Close all other IE windows.
5. Close the stretched window last.

However, the above procedure is not equivalent to SHOWMAXIMIZED API call.
Best option is to use "IE New Window maximizer"

(Uses Windows API calls and automatically maximizes every browser window you
open)

Right-click the icon you use to access IE, properties, choose to runin
a maximized window. If you mean REALLY full screen, as with the F11
key, I believe it can be done, but I don't know how.
