Start/End default time for calendar appts and mtgs

I would like to change the DEFAULT 30 min for meetings and appts to 60 min.
In other words, when i create an appt or mtg and choose a start time, the end
time would default to an hour later, not 30 min later as it does now. Is
there a way to do this? I'm using Office 07 on WinXP Pro.

Change your calendar's time scale to 60 minutes and be displaying a view
that uses the time scale, like Day or Week. You can also preselect the slot
to contain your appointment prior to clicking New.

Thanks very much. I was hoping to be able to do that in Month view, but I'm
assuming it's not going to be possible. Your solution is perfect in the

Double-clicking in the Month view (or any view that does not include a time
scale) will always default to an all-day event. Clicking New>Appointment or
Meeting Request in a view with no time scale will always give a 30 minute
duration, as far as I can tell, and I don't believe that can be changed.
