Is it possible to start something minimized so it doesn't over write the
screen and keep me from reading while it loads? AutoCAD is one that takes
some time to load if I could figure out how to start it minimized I could
continue with what I'm doing while waiting for it to load.

Thanks for any help, Rich

With most shortcuts, you right=click, click Properties, change the
"Run:" option to Minimized. If that merely minimizes a flash screen,
but the actual program opens, you'll have to look for a similar option
within the program's preferences.

Start it from a shortcut. Right-click that shortcut and choose
"Properties." In the "Run:" dropdown box, choose "Minimized."
