standby problems

Thier is a hotfix for xp for that if SP2 is installed,#914028 Also #909095
You'll need to get both from microsoft,800936 4900

Hi, there are LOTS of possible causes for failure to resume from
standby. Including, but not limited to BIOS bugs. Actually, that's the
number 1, that I've seen.

If you can specify the precise make and model of your computer, I may
be able to point to a bios upgrade/fix.

Also on the list are driver issues.

If you have not already done so, get Service Pack 2. (Presuming you ARE
running XP).


A common workaround is to prevent the computer from going into standby
in the first place.
