standby causes IDE mode to change to PIO

When my DELL machine returns from standby mode the transfer mode on the
primary IDE has changed
from DMA to PIO (secondary IDE stays at DMA).

Any way to prevent this (it prevents video capture as it is too slow).

(primary IDE has two hard discs, secondary IDE has a CDROM and a DVD+-R/W)

I have a dell too dimension 4500. Did you go to the support.dell.com for the
patch?

Mine is a DELL 4100, I have been wandering in the DELL support area but
didn't see anything I thought was usefull.
Do you have a further pointer to the patch?
