The two I'm especially interestedin are
david.ttf and miriam.ttf. Anyone know how to find these? are they on
the XP install CD?

On new Dell PC w/ M$ Office 2003 included,
those two fonts do not appear in my Win/Fonts folder.

Michael & Gene,
You can download the files from the following site:
http://www.student.northpark.edu/pemente/hebfonts.htm

They mentioned something about shareware, but I can't determine which font is freeware or shareware.

Some PC manufacturers strip out some of the font files to save space on the XP CD that they provide with the unit. I believe when MS states that the files are on the XP CD, they mean the MS Retail version of the XP CD.

Microsoft claim
http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/product.aspx?PID=145 that
there are some fonts included with XP that I don't see installed and I
don't know how to find them. The two I'm especially interestedin are
david.ttf and miriam.ttf. Anyone know how to find these? are they on
the XP install CD?

Thanks.

Michael

I think you need to add support for languages in Control Panel> Regional
and Language Options before those will show up. Not at my XP system right
now so can't repro the exact steps needed but the needed option mentions
support for right-to-left languages.

NOTE: You may be prompted for the install CD when you do this. If you have
a standard XP setup CD, insert when prompted. If Windows was preinstalled
and you do not have a standard CD, try to redirect this prompt to the OEM's
folder on the hard drive that contains the XP setup files.

Also, there are a few font packs in XP. While you may not see a font
plainly listed in the Fonts folder, it will show as an option within
programs such as Word or Wordpad.
