The shortcut keys ctrl, alt and shift aren't working in any Microsoft
application in Windows XP. Can someone tell me how to fix this important
function? Thanks.

Hi Gail,

Have you changed out the keyboard to see if the current one is failing?
Does the keyboard have specific drivers that control its usage (like
Logitech)? There might be a program running in the System Tray for
keyboard settings. Or try Add/Remove programs. Last resort, go into
Device Manager and remove the keyboard driver and then click Action,
Scan for hardware changes.
