Long answer just to say to turn off the, Ad/pop-up blocker ... :D

1. open the CA personal firewall and Choose the option Firewall on the left
2.click on application control tab
3.look for the particular program and check to see if it has green checks
in both safe and restricted if not right clicn on ? marks and click
allow on order to give them complete access representing
that the firewall has given complete access to particular program.
3.You can also add a program individually by using the add option and
directly adding the particular file which requires access through the Firewall.

For Eg : Browse to
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11 and select OUTLOOK.EXE(for Outlook)
C:\Program Files\Outlook Express and select msimn.exe (for outlook express)

4. Click on the zones tab and Make sure that the Safe Zone Protection Level and Restricted Zone Protection Level are set at Medium
5. Also to modify Privacy settings Click on the Privacy option and on the tab Internet Browser Options Over there Please Turn Off
Cookie Control,Ad Blocking and Mobile Code Control
Also if you have issues accessing websites Click on the Mange Sites which is
above Cookie Control and there Please type in the website in the URL field
eg: www.gmail.com and Click OK.
The site will be added and you should have no issues accessing the website.

Internet explorer settings
--------------------------
- open internet explorer
- click tools -> internet options -> click the security tab ->
- click internet zone -> default level
local intra net -> default level
trusted site -> default level
restricted site -> default level
- click on connection tab -> click lan settings -> check automatically
detect settings
- click on advaced tab -> click on restore advanced settings
- click on apply and ok
I hope this resolves your issue
... I prefer a simple Firewall. ;)

Now, I could be totally wrong ... but I can't be bothered to ask the usual 20 questions. :D

oh, welcome to the forums. :thumb:
