I installed Windows Defender last night. This morning, I got this error
message: Stack overflow at line: 64. At the time, Avast! (anti-virus
program) was running a thorough scan of the computer, and I was also on the
Internet. This is something I do regularly, and I have never before
received a stack overflow message. Is it likely that this is related to the
Windows Defender installation, or to something else? And what should I do
about it?
I have a Compaq Presario 8000 desktop computer. It is a Pentium 4 CPU, 2.40
GHz and 512 MB of RAM. I am using Win XP-Home Edition, Version 2002,
Service Pack 2. Updates are installed regularly. I run either Avast!
(which is currently installed) or AVG (not currently installed every day)
and now have Windows Defender to run in real-time and to scan every morning.
I use Ad-Aware and Spybot several times a week, and I empty the cache
several times a week.
Thanks,
MaryL
