I did a few experiments with Topolinux (the Linux that you don't need to
repartition your hard drive for). But, recently my system has lost some
stability. I uninstalled all the drivers for it and deleted the whole
thing. It seems ok most of the time.. but at random times firefox,
winamp (5.05) or rarely explorer will stop responding and the other
programs and processes will one at a time go up to 100% cpu
and as soon as I close one of those.. another one will come up. This
seems like a virus, but I can't find any!

Do any of you have suggestions to generally improve system stability?!?
