I am trying to use a search webbot within MSFP2000 in a
https webpage. Although, I have read that this is not
supposed to work, it does partially work. When I do the
search the first time I get the expected results. After
the webbot re-writes the page correctly, another attempt
to search trys to generate a page with an http extension.
This results in a page not found.

Can the FP2000 search webbot be modified to work with
https pages?

Thanks in advance

Consult MSKB article 264250:

FP2000: Searches Issued from Secure Pages Return Insecure
Links

According to this article, the behavior you're seeing was
a known problem in the FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions.

I'm not sure if Microsoft fixed this in the FrontPage 2002
Server Extensions, but if there's a fix, I presume that
would be it. The download location is:
