ssl and forms

Can anyone explain why I get an error on a https secure site when sending
form contents to an email address. The same form works properly on the same
site if I access it using normal non secure method (http)
 
the server is possibly trying to protect you. it's highly unusual to have a
"secure email". it would require special software on the server and the
recipients computer as well.
